Create a QR code without uploading
QR Kit builds a URL or text QR code in this browser tab. What you type stays on your device. It is not sent to a QR Kit server to create the code.
There is no account. Open the generator, enter a link or a short message, watch the live preview, and download a PNG or SVG.
How to make a code in the browser
Step 1
Open the generator
Go to the QR Kit home page. There is no sign-in. The page is the tool.
Step 2
Choose URL or text
Use the URL tab for a website. Use Text for a note, ticket number, or anything that should appear as plain text when scanned.
Step 3
Type the content
Paste a web address or write the message. The preview updates as you type. A missing https:// is added for ordinary websites.
Step 4
Download on this device
Save a PNG for messages and print, or an SVG if you need a file that stays sharp when you scale it. Close the tab and the typed content leaves with it.
What “in the browser” means
When you type a URL or message, this tab turns it into a QR pattern on your computer or phone. Nothing you enter is uploaded to generate the code.
The site still loads ordinary page files (layout and scripts). Your link, message, Wi-Fi password, or email draft is not among those requests.
When this fits
Use it when you want a code quickly and would rather not create an account or park the content on someone else’s disk: a personal link, a one-off note, or a poster for a local event.
Keep text under 1,200 characters so phones can still scan it reliably. Shorter links scan faster and look cleaner when you print them small.
FAQ
Does QR Kit upload what I type?
No. The code is created in this browser. We do not store your URL, text, Wi-Fi details, or email draft on a server.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the generator, enter the content, and download. There is no login.
Which QR types work here?
A website link, plain text, a Wi-Fi login, or an email draft. Pick a tab on the home page and fill in the fields.
What happens if I close the tab?
The typed content and unsaved preview leave with the tab. Download the PNG or SVG if you want to keep the code.

When to download PNG vs SVG
